China Merchants · Xi'an Seal is located at the Olympic core of the International Port District, and sits on the strategic highland of the "the Belt and Road" and the 18 km ecological coastline of the Bahe River. The project aims to create a fourth generation luxury residence with a building area of approximately 175-261 square meters, using a low plot ratio of about 2.2. It integrates a 270 ° panoramic river view, a 6-meter horizontal hall, and parameterized curtain wall design, condensing the Tang Dynasty cultural heritage into modern architectural textures.
China Merchants Shekou has been deeply cultivating Xi'an for 11 years, with a market reputation of "four openings and four exhausts" and a seven dimensional quality system, reshaping the living standards of the bay area and achieving an irreplaceable masterpiece of the times.

As a top tier "seal" series work of China Merchants Shekou, it has traveled from Taizi Bay in Shenzhen to the bustling Beijing and Shanghai, and finally settled in the ancient capital of Xi'an for thirteen dynasties. The FORCITIS lighting design team, based on in-depth investigations of projects such as Hefei Merchants Seal and combined with Xi'an's unique regional culture, uses light as a pen to achieve a comprehensive iterative upgrade of lighting solutions - from technical control to artistic expression, allowing light and architecture to narrate the elegance of Chang'an.

Ten thousand camellias, woven with light and shadow
The parameterized curtain wall at the main entrance is symbolized by ten thousand gold-plated camellia flowers, and simulates wind marks through customized bending angles to form multi-dimensional light and shadow changes.

The lighting team adheres to the principle of "hiding light in form" and embeds 36W anti glare wall washers into the inner side of camellia flowers. Through short lamp splicing technology, the cost is reduced by 50%, and the top and bottom light washing wall technique is used to outline the three-dimensional contour of petals.
Under the challenge of canceling architectural niches, cleverly adding overhead lighting fixtures enriches the layers, making the curtain wall like flowing light woven brocade, shining brightly in tranquility.

In terms of node design, semi shading hidden installation is adopted, and the lamps are ingeniously embedded inside the camellia structure. The wall washing method of emitting light from above and below is used to enhance the concealment of the lamps.

The light diffuses out from between the petals, and the warm and moist light not only clearly outlines the three-dimensional outline of each flower, but also forms rich and delicate light and shadow changes on the parameterized corners, making the entire curtain wall like a flowing light woven brocade, quiet and brilliant.

Homecoming Corridor
Corridor tranquility, Eastern ritual sequence
The homecoming corridor creates a warm atmosphere with a color temperature of 3000K, and the DuPont paper ceiling with rice paper texture transmits soft and uniform diffused light, complementing the vertical lighting of the sequential wall panels.
The hidden lighting fixtures create a solemn sense of ceremony by presenting vertical light and shadow to the sequential sensory walls on both sides of the corridor, making every step back a poetic extension of the Eastern ritual, where functionality and art blend silently.

The sequential sensory walls on both sides of the corridor are vertically illuminated by hidden lighting fixtures, creating a solemn sense of welcome and honor.

Water Institute System
Shuiyuan Film,Rhyme of Levels
The water courtyard lighting follows the landscape architecture and is repeatedly carved to create a natural dialogue between light, water, and plants. By precise brightness ratio and blurring the boundaries between the ground and underground, the water courtyard in the night is cast with a hazy reflection, creating a serene and profound spatial rhythm.

For the lighting of building facades, the lighting team always adheres to the principle of "seeing the light but not the light", collaborates deeply with the curtain wall profession, and pre embeds lighting points in the design to achieve complete concealment of the lamps.

In response to the structural characteristics of the curtain wall, the team adopted a diversified and precise lighting strategy: cleverly hiding lighting fixtures in the grooves of the flying eaves and horizontal lines; Faced with the unique curved hyperbolic curtain wall, the innovative use of flexible wall washers achieves smooth and uniform lighting effects in a cost-effective way, highlighting both the soft curves of the building and the sense of structural strength.

The FORCITIS lighting team has achieved a dual evolution of design concepts and technical details in the Xi'an project by conducting a real-life investigation of the lighting of Hefei Merchants Xi and drawing on its successful experience. Each beam of light is meticulously calculated, yet ultimately presents a poetic quality that is easy to lift.
The lighting design of China Merchants Xi'an Xi not only inherits and iterates the Xi series product line, but also pays tribute to and innovates the city culture of Xi'an. It is not only a showcase of architectural lighting technology, but also a fusion and resonance of light and space, culture, and emotion, just like the faint light at the top of a tower, which not only reflects the aesthetic height of contemporary luxury homes, but also lights up the star ambition of a city.
